The share of accepted papers is high for now. For the founding articles the editors chose authors and invited them to submit, so most of the first papers came from people we approached. The figures will show the journal's usual course once open submissions outweigh the invited ones.

How we count
- The journal. Every figure counts the papers submitted to this journal and no other.
- A submission is a paper sent to the journal through its submission portal. A revision is the same paper and counts once, with its first submission.
- A decision is one an editor signed with their name. The first decision is the earliest decision signed on a paper, and its days run from the submission to that signature.
- Accepted means accepted in principle by the editors. The final acceptance follows the journal's reproduction step on the final version of the paper.
- Published means live on this site with an article number.
- Reproduced means the journal reran the analysis of a published article and obtained its reported results, by running the authors' code or by implementing the analysis anew. What was rerun for an article stands on its reproducibility record.
- Withdrawn and test submissions. A withdrawn submission moves to the editors' archive and counts nowhere on this page. The same holds for a submission the editors sent to test the system.
- Days are rounded to 0.1 of a day.
- Shares and medians. A share appears from ten papers and a median from five. Below that the page gives the counts alone.
- Charges are counted by their kind, and the page names no amounts.
- The date. Every figure dates from the as-of date at the top of the page, the day the counts were taken from our records. A paper submitted or an article published after that day appears with the next count.
